How to Avoid Legal Action?

1. Copyrighted Home Plans

All plans, images, and content on KNAA Architectuer Studio’ website (www.knaarchi.com) are protected under United States copyright laws. Purchasing a plan grants a limited license to build one home. Reproducing, modifying, or reusing any designs without written permission is strictly prohibited.

2. Prohibition on Copying

It is illegal to copy, redraw, or adapt construction plans, images, or built homes that are copyrighted, even if modifications are made. To legally use a design, you must purchase it directly from KNAA Architecture Studio.

3. Single-Use License

Each plan purchase licenses you to construct a single home only. Building additional homes requires purchasing separate licenses. To obtain a reuse license, contact contact@knaarchi.com.

4. Modifications and Derivative Works

Modifying a copyrighted plan does not remove its protection. Changes made to a design create a derivative work, which remains owned by KNAA Architecture Studio. Approved modifications require purchasing a CAD file or reproducible plan set.

5. Liability for Copyright Infringement

All parties involved in unauthorized use, copying, or reproduction—homeowners, builders, architects, engineers, or copy shops—may be held liable for copyright infringement. Ignorance of the law does not exempt liability.

6. Penalties for Infringement

Violating copyright laws can result in significant penalties, including:

– Statutory damages of up to $150,000 per offense
– Recovery of profits and actual damages
– Payment of legal fees

7. Usage Restrictions

Plans may not be resold, transferred, or shared with third parties. If additional sets are needed for construction, they must be purchased legally.

By understanding and adhering to these guidelines, you can avoid legal action and enjoy a seamless home-building process. For any licensing questions, contact contact@knaarchi.com.
